Gin Pit 5 Race Organising Committee update – by Mark Riches

As discussed previously, in the absence of a volunteer to take over from James, it was agreed that we would have a race organising committee and that this group would be made up of the elected Committee plus any volunteers

Gary volunteered and the group had its first meeting last night at GP. We agreed to scrap the fun run as it makes very little money and marshals won’t need to arrive until 10:00. We also decided to increase the cost of entry by £1 and provide a technical t-shirt to every finisher with the race restricted to 250

Roles & responsibilities allocated as below:

·         Gary - online entries / ordering prizes
·         Mark – arrange race permit / arrange medical provision / arrange EA adjudicator
·         Malc – to produce income & expenditure calculation
We also allocated a lead name for each of the key roles on the day as below:

·         Jon – course set up & clear up
·         Dave – course marshals
·         Tim – car parking
·         Mark - timekeeping
