Marjorie Leigh and myself ventured in the rain to Edenfield cricket club on sunday morning for the 5th Run the moors race.
It
was to be a wet and windy race. We started with a loop round the
cricket field, which was like a swamp and then a steady continuous climb
for the 1st 2 miles, with a head wind and lots of rain, then we
levelled out for a while, until of the fourth mile we finally started
heading down hill over grass tussocks, which made the descent very
difficult..thinking we was heading to the finish, only to find another
very steep slippery climb round the corner..finally a
fast descent to the finish line but not before running round the
cricket pitch again..I came in at 79.16 closely followed by Marjorie at
82.54
Hopefully see a few more people thursday night for the club race meeting at the station at 6.15
