Just completed the recce of the Preston Marathon course for all but 3.5
miles of it - to be continued!
A large of part of the course is flat but there are some undulations which
are fairly mild - no Tyldesley brews to negotiate. If anything the last 2 to 3
miles will be slightly downhill. The course is also very rural and takes in
a large part of the Wesham 10k course.
In summary, the course should hold no fears for any standard of runner but
you should be prepared to run along lonely country lanes for long periods with
no spectators to cheer you on. If there are any horrors in the 3.5miles I've not
seen, I'll let you know.
