Thank you to everyone who came to the meeting yesterday with Tim Holdsworth from the Manchester Marathon. As Tim said, he is very grateful to A&T for volunteering, and will be giving the club a financial reward after the marathon for our efforts.
Each volunteer will also receive a Brooks Technical T-Shirt and free food and drink during the day.
Our water station is going to be a bus lay by near the Stretford shopping centre, I'll be getting some maps and directions which i will forward on to everyone nearer the time.
We will be next to Capital FM so it should be a great atmosphere on the day.
There is a prize for the best water station so i suggest we go 'blue' which will promote the club on a mass scale. We'll use the club flag and club banner and I'd like everyone to wear club colours on the day.
We need 2 or 3 volunteers to be at the water station at 6.30am to set up the table and look after the water until the race starts. Barry Allman has already volunteered so we just need a couple more victims! Whoever volunteers cannot be expected to stay all day so you have my full support to just come and go as you please during the day. Please email me or facebook me if you can help.
