14th April 2012 Wardle Skyline 7mile 1250ft, 2nd A&T Grand Prix fell race.

After waiting at the station until 5 past 1pm, I decided no one was gonna join me on this race so left on my tod..When I arrived at the start, I found Terry Gardiner who had been waiting for me at the station but an hour early so made his own way..very pleased I wasn't on my lonesome and had the support of another A&T team member we started a very hilly, cold and windy race.
The first 3 miles of this race have 3 nice hill climbs, as you come over the brow of one, you see the runners in the distance climbing another. then finally, a nice flat section for a mile before a 1 and a 1/2 mile decent.  The last half mile consist of what I think they call the sting in the tail..a couple short but steep climbs before descending to the finish..All worth it for the mountains of cakes on sale afterwards to re-energise.
Thanks Terry for joining me and sharing the pain..Terry did a fab time of 1.03.40 followed eventually by myself at 1.20.36.
