1500m Swim Challenge - Warrington

On Saturday the Tri Team headed off to Warrington to take part in a 1500m swim challenge event organised by Warrington Dolphins.
(Anita came equipped with a new super dooper camera this time which made us lycra clad swimmers a tad nervous!)

There were about 50 entrants, setting off in waves (slowest wave first). Two swimmers per lane, covering 60 lengths against the clock.
It was a great afternoon and really good for spectating as we could sit poolside, watch everyone up close and the event was followed by a lovely hot buffet and presentation in a local pub!

Some great swims from everyone with myself, Colin, Terry and Jon Hyde getting pbs! Congratulations to Kelly-Anne, Alix and Terry's daughter Emily (30.32) on their first 1500m swim event! Good to see Brenda in the pool again, a non too shabby 28.20 on her first come back after her knee op, think we all know she'll be knocking minutes off that by summer!

Dan took on his dad again in a head to head challenge, always fun to watch (not as much fun for Dan!) Mike Reason had a great swim taking 3rd place male but swim of the day went to Jon Hyde who stormed through the pool, smashing his pb from October with a final swim time of 26.10! Well done Jon - all those Marlin's sessions paying off!

Results:

Mike Reason - 23.05
Jon H - 26.10
Dan Reason - 26.33
Terry - 27.49
Brenda - 28.20
Colin - 29.21
Kelly-Anne - 29.55
Clare - 32.11
