Club Meeting Minutes - Sunday 6th November

The meeting started off with the 2010/2011 x-country presentation.

Road Captain's Performance of the Month - Josie Maley Chester Marathon

X-Country Captain's Performance of the Month - Carole Baines for being 1st A&T finisher in all 3 races so far.

Road Champs 

A&T won the ladies and male vets category in this years CLGP.  We will be collecting our trophies at the CLGP presentation night at Wigan on Fri 18th November.  Everyone is free to come at a cost of £3.00 per person, if you want more information contact Garry Baines

The 2012 Road Champs fixtures are due around the 10th December

A&T Presentation Night 

The club is hosting its annual presentation awards night on Saturday 17th December at the Gin Pit.  Tickets are free and each member is entitled to 2 tickets per member however only take the tickets if you are coming.  I believe there are approx 50 tickets left from the 120 allocated so you MUST contact Clare Unsworth by email claroj@hotmail.com or she will be at the Monday track sessions.  

If you have a ticket please put your name on the back and bring them on the night to be entered into a prize raffle.

The club intend to put some food on and will ask for a donation of a pound or two on the night which can be put into a pint glass when collecting food.

As ever there will be a voting system for Male and Female Runner of the Year, Most Improved Runner of the Year (male or female), Achievement of the Year and the A&T Spirit Award.

Performance of the Year will be voted by the club coach

This year we have also agreed a Male and Female Triathlete of the Year 1st, 2nd and 3rd

X-Country

There have been a great turn out of members so far this year on the country with a record 35 members doing the first race at Leigh

The club are having its own mini x-country champs at the Gin Pit on 22/01, 5/02 and 19/02 subject to not clashing with any road races.

If you are interested in any of the above roles please contact a committee member however no roles can be filled until the AGM 

Track & 2012 Membership

During the 2nd half of 2011 the track fee's have increased due to more members turning up on a Monday night.  The club currently pay £2.00 per member to Leigh Harriers for anyone using the track.   

It will be discussed at the AGM ways to absorb this cost .. charging members £1.00 to use the track has been mentioned.

London Marathon Places

Currently (06/11) no member has put their name forward for a London Marathon place who meets all the criteria.  We will give members another week to come forward but in the event of these places not being taken the committee will open it up to anyone who has previously taken a club marathon place.

AOB

The club discussed having a Tri Captain for 2012 which was approved by the members.  The incoming Tri Captain will have the option of a committee place, again this will be voted at the AGM but anyone interested came make themselves known to the committee.
