The online ballot for the 2012 Virgin London Marathon is now closed. If you've already entered the ballot, I understand that you will know in very soon if you've been successful.
If you do not secure a place in the ballot you may still be able to run in 2012 with an A&T Road Runners Club place
Athletics clubs associated with UK Athletics (UKA) can apply for club entries into the 2012 Virgin London Marathon. The number of entries given to each club is based on the number of first claim members the club has – we have got 3 places for 2012
If you are unsuccessful in the ballot, and meet the criteria below, please let me know & I will put your name down for a Club place (if there are more names than places it will be ‘names in the hat’ at Presentation night)
- · Members must have entered & been rejected from the London Marathon
- · Members must be at least in their second year of membership
- · Members must be first claim to Astley & Tyldesley Road Runners
- · If a member has had a Club place before they cannot enter the Club ballot
- · If after this ballot there are any places left, members who fulfil all the above but have had a Club place before can go into a second ballot
