About Us

Established in 2001 with over 120 members the club competes in various road, fell and x-country races during the year.
The club is affiliated to the British Triathlon Federation and have a ever increasing group of members interested in duathlon, triathlons, open water swimming and even Ironman!
We also have a thriving social scene and hold various social events through out the year.

Alex’s Ironman Challenge draws near!

Alex’s Ironman Challenge draws near!On 31st July, after months of hard training, Alex Foster will take on the Ironman Challenge of a 2.4mile swim/112mile bike/26.2mile run. The event takes place around the Bolton area, starting with the swim in Pennington Flash and the marathon finishing at Bolton Town Hall. Last year, Terry Hughes was given support from A&T along the way and those that went reported that it was a fantastic spectators event. I know there will be a fair few members out on the course supporting Alex. If you want to join us, watch the blog nearer the time for spectating details. The club wishes Alex massive good luck on this awesome challenge and is sure you’ll do us proud! 

NB: Did you all spot the deliberate mistake on the newsletter? Ironman is 31st July NOT 17th July. Watch out for more fun, deliberate mistakes in the next issue! :) - Clare
