Lymm 5k by Paul Basnett
On Saturday afternoon 4 A&T members made there way to the last race of North Cheshire 5k Grand Prix series. Some of you maybe remember this undulating course from last years club champs when it was very hot. Thankfully this year, whilst muggy, the sun was not beating down on us and it had just rained. The race was run by 274 runners with the overall winner being Damian Nicholls of Wilmslow RC in 15.23. First back for A&T once again was Scott Christey in 18.04 taking 30th place. He was again followed home by Colin Kay in 67th place with 19.12 and both were pleased with their times. Next came myself and laying last years poor race to rest with a PB equalling time of 22.14 and 133rd place. Again our only female entrant on the day Bev Tickle ran in her 2nd best time of the series with 27.19.
