George's Smiles Race

George's Smiles Race
Sat 11th June - Pennington Flash 11am

Enter at the flash before the race.

A charity fun run for a 3yr old local boy who suffers from Crouzon Syndrome. His parents are raising money for Alder Hey Hospital to try and build an accommodation block for the parents of sick children. A few of us did this race last year (Shaun won it!) and it was a great event, very friendly and for a great cause. There were a lot of runner/walkers last year so if any new members fancy a first race, this would be a good one to do!

Georges smiles race will start and finish at the large playing fields at Pennington Flash and follow two routes around the beautiful park trails.
The 3 mile route follows the water around part of the Flash before returning to the playing fields (3 laps)
The 1 mile route is a flat wide trail open to walkers and joggers, especially children ages 7 – 14.
We hope to offer the sale of drinks, a barbeque and bouncy castle on the day for those supporting the event.
All participants will receive a medal
