Middleton Harriers were the hosts for this race which supports and raises money for Deaf/Blind awareness week.
The conditions were great, late evening sunshine and dry underfoot. The race is only a lung bursting 3.8 miles long and is runnable for pretty much the whole route.
The start was fast with it being a short race and 116 competitors took to the surrounding hills. Alot of dust was kicked up drying out throats which would later need quenching in the pub.
Four A&T fell runners turned out to race and the results are as follows;
1st Ben Fish Blackburn Harriers 23.25
12th Mark Ruscoe 28.01
37th Paul Jackson 30.53
48th Marcus Taylor 32.46
110th Tracy Parry 43.38
Janet Grint also ran in her East Cheshire colours coming 62nd in 34.13.
Run of the day goes to Tracy Parry who took 9 minutes off last year's race and had a sprint finish to the line.
Next up in the Grand Prix is Bull Hill Fell Race (5.5m/1100') hosted by Radcliffe AC on Thursday 14th July at 7.30pm from Boardmans farm, Hawkshaw. £3.50 on the day. A reminder will be posted nearer the time.
