About Us

Established in 2001 with over 120 members the club competes in various road, fell and x-country races during the year.
The club is affiliated to the British Triathlon Federation and have a ever increasing group of members interested in duathlon, triathlons, open water swimming and even Ironman!
We also have a thriving social scene and hold various social events through out the year.

Santa Dash 5k by Paul Basnett

Today Christine Farnworth and I decided to make the journey to Heaton Park for the annual 5k Santa Dash.
This time we got there 20 minutes early so I could do my customary warm up of walking down to the start!
When we got to the start we were greeted with quite a few santas and the run start was a little later than normal which we could have done with last time!
I was feeling a bit under the weather so I decided to be pacer for Christine in an effort to try and get her another PB.
Anyway the goal was achieved as she knocked 32 seconds off her PB with a time of 28.26 and we both gained Santa Dash medals!
Also based on that run I'm sure there is a lot more to come from Christine as she was apparently suffering as well, which as me more worried about her killing me in a race in the near future!
