Two new members officially joined the club yesterday, Christine Farnworth, who trained with us last night as well as sampling the popular A+T "social" curry night on Sunday and Gary Cassidy, whom I have not yet met but I received his application form and cheque today. Gary used to run for Altrinham AC and I have been told is a very good runner indeed. Welcome to A+T to you both.
Barry Haines, from Worsley came down to the club session last night for the first time and took an application away, hopefully he will also join too. Thanks Suzanne for watching out for Barry.
Scot Christie who was registered for A+T before rang me last week to say he wanted to re- register with A+T again. Anyone who knows Scot know that he is an excellent runner and being able to train alongside other quality team members can only improve his performance..
We are currently standing at 96 registered and active members. This comprises of 61 men and 35 ladies.
We have 41 member profile forms in so,19 ladies and 22 men, so you can work it out that the ladies must be more efficient....so whats new!! I give out 10 or so forms last night and will give more out this week.
If you can remember to fill them in as best you an and try to bring to Sundays meeting or give to any member of the committee. It does make a difference as people thinking of joining our club do read them. Please remember to contact Suzanne of myself if you need any club merchandise, vests,t shirts, jackets, track suit bottoms etc. If you let us know in time we will bring them to this Sundays meeting.
It's not long of the x/c season so those of you who have not yet purchased a club jacket, around 60 of you have.It may be worth thinking of ordering one. Speak to any member who already has one.
Finally, great turn out at the club last night, around 25+. Good to see Paul Jackson, who has not been down to the Tuesday session for a long time and Mark Ruscoe training together after their mammoth Bob Graham challenge.
Thanks Mark Lysycia
