Gill Pimblott Presentation

A cheque for £1000.00 was donated to the Cancer Care Unit from proceeds of the Gill Pimblott 5k and Mark and Dereks 50th race plus respective raffles

Malc Collins – Multiple Marathons

Gary Atherton - Boothstown Wobble

Shaun Moran – Winning the Georges Smile Race

Maria Lowe – Multiple Race Wins

Josie Maley – Winning Smithells Serpant.

Prizes given to Peter Chan, Suzanne Gregory and John Lee for gutsy performances at the Swinton Challenge.

Finances

Email Malc Collins if you want to know the current balance sheet.

We anticipate a rise in subs for 2011 but it will discussed in more detail at the AGM.

Family membership is currently being discussed per household.

Gin Pit

The next Gin Pit 5 is Sunday 10th October

We need volunteers to fill many roles, please if you can help let Gary Stevens know on email stevensgary@hotmail.com or you can ask a family member to help out

We do need a strong turn out of runners to help with the CLGP

Run or Help Out !

X-Country

The club will be competing in 2 leagues – Red Rose League & Mid Lancs League

The Mid Lancs League is free of charge to all members.

The Red Rose League will require a fee of £4.00 per member payable to Mark Riches which will cover all 4 races in the Red Rose.

The club also intend to affiliate to the South East Lancs League but each member must pay £5.00 to enter.

All details will be posted on the blog by Mark Riches soon.

Brenda's Cafe – If you would like to save the hassle of bringing hot drinks and chocolate you can take advantage of Brenda's Cafe. You pay her £2.00 on the first race and £1.00 all other races.

This is between you and Brenda,  you don't have to use it if you would prefer to bring your own.

Garry Baines to order a new tent which is 'quick erect' for £150.00.

We need volunteers to look after the tent.

Social Events

Clare Unsworth, Liz Ellicott and Paul Basnett have kindly offered to help out with the organizing of future social events in a 'non committee' role.

The committee will book all social events during the year and arrange the entertainment then pass it onto our 'Social Team'.

The next event is on Saturday 30th October which is the Halloween Spooktacular.

Free event for members and friends of members.

The event will be on the blog very soon and the Social Team will be distributing flyers and sending invitations on facebook, please can you answer the invitation so they get idea of numbers.

Duathlon Series

This years Duathlon Series will be jointly organized by A&T and ARC.

This is a bike and run event which is aimed at every abilities from the beginner to ironman

The cost is £5.00 to enter a race for the series.

The first race is on Sunday 3rd October
2nd Race - Sunday 7th November
3rd Race - Sunday 5th December

10 Yrs Anniversary

The club are looking to mark our 10 year Anniversary early 2011, we are looking for idea's from the members on how to do this, please let a committee member know so we can discuss as a group at the next meeting.

Relays

The club are looking at putting a male and female team into the North West Counties and North of England Relay. The captains/coaches will be calling our fastest runners for this event.

Fells Races

There is a fell race Thursday 9th September at Hades Hill, Rochdale (see fell section for more details)

Road Races

Next club champs and CLGP race is the Swinton 10 on Sunday 26th September 9.30am start, we need a big turn out.
