On Saturday 24th July 2010, I drove to Milton Keynes to compete in the Summer Enigma Marathon, my third marathon of the year.
It was a lovely course around a lake and along a very picturesque canal. I finished in 3 hours 51 minutes and 36 seconds.
A poor time for me but it was a very warm day which made me suffer a bit. I finished in 7th place, my highest position in a marathon, albeit there were only 26 entrants!
It was a race full of firsts for me. My first trial marathon. My first time to be stung by a wasp while running and the first time to be sick at the finish! Oh the joys of marathon running!
