Grimsthorpe Half Marathon - By Steve Coleman

I did the Grimsthorpe half marathon this morning.
Not the sort of race I`d normally go for, but different. A run on paths, fields, hills and trails. Not any real flat parts. It was also far too warm as unlike here they have a heat wave in Lincs.
I started out fast to do as much as I could until over heating. Keeping up with the top two I was surprised when one fell back, and the other, who came from Vietnam, also came under pressure at 6 miles. Passing him I took first place and kept it, wining the race some 68 seconds ahead. Seen afterwards walking around in circles due to being far too hot until I went and fell down under a tree to cool down for a while.
Nice prize though.
