Horwich 5 - by Mark Lysycia

All races are tough as everyone knows but this little mid week tester, a week after Haigh Hall, is no exception. I thought I was going to be the only A+T runner, but a tap on the shoulder from Steve White, whom I had never met before was a pleasant surprise. It wasn't long before Steve came whizzing past me looking very strong. Then I remembered his London marathon time a few weeks ago(3.12) and knew I had a fast team member with me.

On a fairly low turnout of 101 runners, Steve came in a very respectable 37th in 33.15, I was 52nd in 34.21

Surprisingly, even though Horwich fielded a good turnout(26), it was Chris Livesey from Preston in 26.34, that won the race.

Steve even said he would e-mail me his profile....result! so thought i'd get a piccie of him to go with it! I know, a very slight hint to you all!

Mark
