Race Organiser

On behalf of the club I would like to say a massive thank you to Terry Gardiner for all the work he has put into our club. Not sure most people realise how much Terry has put in but here is a short history.
Early last year he started helping Gary Stevens with the race organisation and not long after took on the Club Secretary role and did lots of work behind the scenes getting loads of things organised. Not long after that Gary was ill and Terry then took on the Race Organiser role. All the races he has organised have been very successful and we all benefit from that not least by lower subs. The success hasn’t been by chance, it is down to the amount of planning and hard work that Terry has put in to make sure they are successful. It also had its moments such as nearly getting arrested by the Police! He has also set up a superb new website. For some time now Terry has wanted to give up the Race Organiser role but agreed to carry on until we had someone else. That pretty much sums up Terry though, prepared to take on a load of extra work and stress just to help out our club. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with him. I think he well deserves to now take a bit of a back seat and just enjoy his running. All the very best Terry from all at A&T.
