Duathlon Report - Written by Craig Bradbury

It was good to see a few new faces in the latest duathlon one of whom was winner Andrew Neary, after a strong bike ride he then went on to post a new run course record !! well done Andrew. Second place and bike leg winner belonged to Gary Stevens who seems to get stronger every week as his long illness now seems a distant memory, he has also surely found his forte in duathlon !!. The bronze position going to Sean Spillane but with just over a minute between the three of them it demonstrated what a great battle these guy,s enjoyed !. The sole lady was Melanie Fish who deserves a big well done she stuck to the task well on what is a tough bike and run course, even having company on the run as Bob was feeling the affects of a heavy cold !. Stuart Tetlow was delighted with his massive bike improvement and was soon asking when,s the next one !, Steve Garratt and John Spillane had a private battle on the run but seem pleased with their efforts, All in all a good morning was had. Once again thank you to Debbie and Sharon who kindly gave up their Sunday morning to timekeep, and to Matt Crompton who took a break from his marathon duties to bring a hot flask and did a spot of bike minding !!!. The next one will take place in the summer, details of which will be posted on the blog.
