About Us

Established in 2001 with over 120 members the club competes in various road, fell and x-country races during the year.
The club is affiliated to the British Triathlon Federation and have a ever increasing group of members interested in duathlon, triathlons, open water swimming and even Ironman!
We also have a thriving social scene and hold various social events through out the year.

A&T Duathlon Championships Race 1 of 3 - Sunday 18th October by Bob Stevens

The first A&T duathlon saw 17 taking part which was a great turn out in cold conditions.

The bike ride ended with no casualties or punchers with only one rider (John Lee) going the wrong way, one on my tricks !

The outstanding rider of the day was Tony Quinn winning the bike event in 37 mins 24 with John a possible winner if he gone the right way 2nd !

In the run event the two big guns Peter Chan and Leigh Harrier Sean Spillane battled it out with Sean coming out on top taking the overall 1st position with newcomer Peter Chan and my dark horse Gary Atherton joint 2nd.

I was proud to see 4 of the girls take part in the event with Brenda coming out overall Lady Winner.

I hope the 2nd Duathlon on 22nd November will encourage more of our members to take part, if you have a bike come down..you will love it !

Myself and Craig would like to say a BIG thank you to timekeepers Debbie, Sharon and Anita they all did a great job and also thanks to Brenda for the coffee, tee and biscuits.
